IAEA nuclear fuel cycle databases: Relevance to spent nuclear fuel management

  • 1. Department of Nuclear Energy, International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna (Austria)

Description

This paper describes the databases of the International Atomic Energy Agency related to the nuclear fuel cycle. They comprise the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Information Systems (NFCIS) and the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Simulation System (VISTA), which provides a method for analyses of nuclear fuel cycle systems. In addition, it is proposed that the IAEA Power Reactors Information System (PRIS) database should also be used to collect spent fuel inventory data. (author)
