Description
We study the broadening of deuterium spectral lines and radiative transfer under conditions typical for a plasma edge of a divertor tokamak, such as Alcator C-Mod. A model for emission of Lyman and Balmer spectral lines by a plane layer of deuterium plasma is considered taking into account the Zeeman, Stark and Doppler effects. The dependence of the line profiles and intensities on the layer thickness and on the direction of the magnetic field is presented. (orig.)
