Coriolis coupling of the proton [402 5/2]-[404 7/2] Nilsson states

Description
The B(E2) values for transitions between the [402 5/2] and [404 7/2] Nilsson states in 171Lu and 173Lu are determined from half-life and γ-branching measurements. Coriolis coupling matrix elements are derived from these B(E2) values and compared with corresponding results in 175-177Lu and 177-181Ta. The experimental matrix elements for the Lu isotopes are only approximately 10% smaller than the calculated value whereas the results for the Ta isotopes are attenuated by factors between two and four. The reduced M1 transitions between the KI = 5/2 5/2 and 7/2 7/2 levels are reanalysed. (Auth.)
