Description

Effect of saturating medium (gaseous nitrogen) pressure in the nitridation process on processes of disperse phase formation was studied to increase mechanical characteristics of materials. Monocrystalline samples of molybdenum alloys with niobium content of up to 2%, zirconium of up to 0.2% (in mass) and double molybdenum alloys with niobium (up to 6% in mass) were subjected to the internal nitridation in nitrogen atmosphere containing no O2 and H2O. Mechanical properties of alloys during change of saturating medium pressure were studied. It is shown that nitrogen pressure increase from 27 to 7840 gPa improves resistance charcteristics of hot plastic deformation of Mo-Nb-Zr-C alloy, namely, ultimate strength σu at 1600 deg C increases from 85 to 185 MPa, yield strength σ0.2 increases from 76 to 160 MPa; at the same time decrease of relative elongation from 11.8 to 7.7% is noted
