Internal friction in irradiated metals and alloys. Chapter 4

Creators

Description

In the Chapter 4 the existing experimental data about elastic energy scattering in irradiated metals and alloys are systematized. The inelasticity performances dependences from temperature and oscillation amplitudes in electron irradiated metals with different crystal structure type in particular in the low and mean temperature field are presented. In this chapter the mechanisms of important relaxation and hysteresis processes in irradiated metallic systems with different structure, phase and chemical content and dependence of these mechanisms from irradiation conditions are discussed. Data about structural changes in metals and alloys at high electron irradiation doses action on the elastic energy scattering processes, regularities and mechanisms of the internal friction in irradiated amorphous metals and alloys, as well as radiation modification metals and alloys produced by the powder metallurgy method are presented most widely
