Generalized optical potentials of heavy-ion interaction with light nuclei

Description
A theoretical approach using integral equations of the four-body problem is suggested for the calculation of the real parts of the interaction potential for heavy ions and light nuclei. The real parts of the potentials are calculated for the Li and Be ions interaction with the 12C nucleus and for the interaction between the 7Li, sup(8, 9)Be, and 12C ions and 16O nucleus. It is shown that all the calculated potentials predict the existence of the backward maxima in the cross section of heavy ion elastic scattering on light nucleus and allows to fit the experimental angular distribution of the 7Li and 9Be ions elastically scattered by the 12C nucleus in the entire angular range of the scattered ions
