Emittance growth from multiple scattering in the plasma beat-wave accelerator
Description
Linear colliders for very high energies will require beams of extremely small emittance. In the plasma Beat-Wave Accelerator, multiple scattering from the plasma ions can cause emittance growth. A calculation of this growth is given for an example of a 1 TeV BWA. (orig.)
