Manipulator for testing of pipeline bend and longitudinal welds in nuclear powerstation equipment
Description
Two identical test trolleys can be driven on a semicircular sickle-shaped beam. The sickle-shaped beam is guided in a sickle-shaped beam guide concentric with it and is driven from a motor via a pinion. It surrounds a pipe bend to be tested concentrically, so that when the trolley strops, the test trolley with the test systems can test a circumferential weld in one operation. When testing longitudinal welds, the sickle-shaped beam with the test trolley is moved through 900 from the initial position, and in this position it can carry out the test on longitudinal welds on the guide rail curved concentrically with the pipe bend by moving the trolley. As no change of the test system is necessary, the staff is protected against unnecessary radiation exposure. (orig./HP)

Zwei gleichartige Pruefwagen sind auf einem halbkreisfoermigen sichelausleger verfahrbar. Der Sichelausleger wird in einer konzentrisch zu diesem gekruemmten Sichelauslegerfuehrung gefuehrt und ueber ein Ritzel von einem Motor angetrieben. Er umfasst einen zu pruefenden Rohrbogen konzentrisch, so dass bei Stillstand des Grundwagens die Pruefwagen mit den Pruefsystemen eine Rundnaht in einem Arbeitsgang abfahren koennen. Bei der Pruefung der Laengsschweissnaehte wird der Sichelausleger mit den Pruefwagen aus der Ausgangsstellung um 900 verfahren, und in dieser Stellung koennen sie durch Verfahren des Grundwagens auf der zum Rohrbogen konzentrisch gekruemmten Fuehrungsschiene die Laengsschweissnaehte zur Pruefung abfahren. Da kein Wechsel des Pruefsystems erforderlich ist, wird das Personal vor unnoetiger Strahleneinwirkung geschuetzt. (orig./HP)Additional details
