A note on radiative pion nucleon scattering

The experimental results on the reaction π++p→π++p+γ of Arman et al. and of Nefkens et al. are discussed in the framework of the static Chew-Low model in which one meson is treated exactly and one in the one-meson approximation. The main features are that the rescattering corrections are important for the magnetic-dipole and electric-quadrupole. It is believed that this model, which is quite reliable in connecting the photo-production of pions and the pion-nucleon scattering, in the 3,3-resonance region should predict when properly treated also the present reaction.
