Spin-dependent effective nucleon-nucleon interaction in nuclei
Description
Universal parameters of the spin-dependent effective nucleon-nucleon interaction in nuclei are found which provide good description of collective excitations with anomalous parity in charged and neutral channels. The analysis is performed within the framework of the theory of finite Fermi systems with exact inclusion of the single-particle continuum. The conclusion is drawn that the spin-spin interaction constant is close to zero, g = 0.05 +- 0.10, the spin-isospin constant is g' = 1.1 +- 0.1 (the normalization is C0 = 300 MeV x F3), and the local charge of quasiparticles characterizing the attenuation of the low-lying sigmatau transition strength is e/sub q/[sigmatau] = 0.8
