Magnetocrystalline anisotropy of neodymium and terbium ions in compounds type RCo5
Description
Anisotropy parameters of neodymium and terbium ions in RCO5 type alloys are determined. It is shocn that calculated magnetization curves of Ndsub(x)Ysub(1-x)Cosub(5) moqocrystals agree satisfactorily with experimental ones for all x values in a supposition that the first constant of Nd ion anizotropy is equal to zero, and the second one is equal to 2.0x10-14 erg/ion. Such parameters permit to explain orientational phase transitions of the first type observed in these alloys earlier. Values of anizotropy constants for terbium ions in Tbsub(x)Ysub(1-x)Cosub(5) compounds are specified
