Description

For a system of hyperbolic conservation laws with dissipation, such as damping and relaxation, the simplest, widely used form is modeled by lower order term: γu/γt + γf(u)/γχ = g(u). Due to such a strong smoothing effect of the dissipation, the large time behavior of solutions can be described accurately by certain simplified nonlinear diffusion equation or nonlinear parabolic equation.
