Fluctuation induced transitions between the superconducting and dissipative states in superconducting microbridges
- 1. Naval Research Lab., Washington, DC (USA)

Description
A model is presented to account for thermally activated transitions occuring in the microwave I-V characteristics of Sn and Nb microbridges. These transitions occur between the uniform superconducting state and a metastable dissipative state. This model is compared with experimental results and excellent agreement is obtained for the characteristic length, L, obtained previously from critical current hysteresis. (orig.)
