Description

Definition and presentation of the Local Dose Quantity 'Environmental Equivalent Dose' for radiation protection purposes are explained and the transitional regulations for the introduction are shown. International and national standards and requirements including the licencing conditions in Germany are described. Furthermore, the monitoring of neutron local dose with solid state dosimetres and the development of photon local dosimetres are considered. A contribution on dosimetry in airplanes completes the topic. (orig.)
