Description
A general method for the analysis of renormalizability and conformal invariance of two-dimensional chiral theories is applied to the Wess-Zumino-Witten model. The method, which is algebraic in character, does not rely on the existence of an invariant regularization. It is only based on very general properties of perturbative field theory, such as locality and power-counting. (orig.)
