Description
Highlights: • Forty seven out of 275 DEGs converged between 0.5 and 6 Gy in the meta-analysis. • TCF4 showed 84 potential radioinduced-DEG targets and IR-responsive downregulation. • PCNA exhibited dose-dependent transcriptional radio-modulation increase. • NUDT15, TIGAR and TCF4 expression could discern IR-exposed from non-exposed blood. • DRAM1 and PLK2 showed potential as cut-off indicators of dose-exposure. The high-throughput analysis of gene expression in ionizing radiation (IR)-exposed human peripheral white blood cells (WBC) has emerged as a novel method for biodosimetry markers detection. We aimed to detect IR-exposure differential expressed genes (DEGs) as potential predictive biomarkers for biodosimetry and radioinduced-response.
