A bag with broken chiral symmetry
Description
The author shows how a recent modified version of the MIT bag model explains static baryon properties when quarks and pions are massive. The model is not chiral invariant and gives results consistent with observations. The quark and pion masses can be related through a continuity assumption for the divergence of the axial current across the bag surface. (Auth.)
