Nuclear fusion reactor
Description
Object: To prevent reduction of plasma temperature by discharging, from the vacuum discharge holes on opposite sides of a limiter in TOKAMAK nuclear fusion reactor, impurity atoms and impurity ions released from said limiter. Structure: Vacuum discharge holes are provided on opposite sides of the limiter, and impurity atoms and impurity ions released from the limiter are discharged to the outside of the vacuum envelope from the vacuum exhaust holes by a vacuum exhaust system. Thus, there is no possibility that impurity atoms and impurity ions released from the limiter will invade the plasma, and hence there is no possibility of plasma temperature reduction. (Kamimura, M.)
