The classical instability of Minkowski space-time relative to conformally flat perturbations, where the source is a massive scalar field, has been established. The analysis of such a model is reduced to a study of the dynamics of a system with two degrees of freedom. In the determined region of the phase space, the dynamical chaos is obtained
