Description

A model of zirconium oxidation taking account of rearrangement of metal crystalline phases under oxygen diffusion and temperature variation is presented. Calculation technique is based on the reduction of the equation system in particular derivatives with moving boundaries to the system of the regular differential equations of low-dimension. Testing results of the suggested model on the basis of the experimental data obtained within wide temperature variation range and within wide oxygen concentration range under stationary and nonstationary conditions show the validity of the model, simplicity of numerical realization and application possibility of the technique for codes to simulate deterioration of reactor core in case of coolant loss
