Synthesis and structure of 1,2-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose 3,5,6-bis-cyclophosphite with tungsten pentacarbonyl

Description
Metal complexes containing optically active ligands are of particular interest as catalysts of stereoselective processes. A new metal complex of that type, 1,2-O-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose 3,5,6-bis-cyclophosphite with tungsten pentacarbonyl, was synthesized in a high yield (87%) and characterized by 31P NMR and monocrystal X-ray diffraction. At 173 K the crystals of C14H13O11PW belong to the orthorhombic crystal system, sp. gr. P212121, a = 6.040(6), b=10.534(10), c = 28.16(3) A, Z = 4, dcald = 2.121 g/cm3
Abstract (Russian)
Металлокомплексы, включающие в свой состав оптически активные лиганды, представляют значительный интерес в качестве катализаторов стереоизбирательных процессов. Впервые с высоким выходом (87%) синтезирован комплекс [3,5,6-бициклофосфит 1,2-O-изопропилиден-α-D-глюкофураноза] пентакарбонил вольфрам(0). Его строение подтверждено данными ЯМР 31P и рентгеноструктурного анализа. При 173 K соединение кристаллизуется в ромбической сингонии, пр. гр. P212121, с параметрами элементарной ячейки: a = 6.040(6), b = 10.534(10), c = 28.16(3) A, Z = 4, dрасч. = 2.121 г/см3Additional details
