Effect of low-energy electrons on the cigarette beetles inside the cocoons
- 1. National Agriculture and Food Research Organization, National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Ibaraki (Japan)
Description
Lasioderma serricorne (Fabricius) inside cocoons were exposed to low-energy electrons and the survivorship was observed. Electrons at an acceleration voltage of 80 kV did not affect the survivorship of beetles and at 150 kV very few adults emerged from cocoons. (author)
