Description

The rapidity distribution of charged particles for double scattered events has been extracted from π-d interactions at 205 and 360 GeV/c. The ratio of this distribution to that obtained in π-p interactions, R(y), peaks in the target fragmentation region, falls to a plateau of 1.3-1.4 in the central region, and becomes less than 1 in the projectile fragmentation region. We compare these results with predictions of several theoretical models. (orig.)
