The isotope separation by laser through two-photon excitation
Description
The isotope separation by laser has two advantages that the separation ratio is very high and the energy required for the separation is low. Recently, the high resolving power laser spectrometry has been developed, in which the spectral line width is much narrower than the Doppler breadth. In this paper, the resonance two-photon transition probability with no Doppler broadening is calculated, and it is shown that the efficiency of the two-photon excitation can be larger than that of the one-photon excitation under the suitable condition.
