Experiences from the International Common Cause Failure Data Exchange-project (ICDE). Rev 0. Application of the knowledge of common cause failures from the ICDE-project in SKI's inspectory activity

The report present basic information on common-cause failures (CCF) and insights gained from operating experience and CCF events in safety related components that are modelled in PSA at both national and international plants. The experiences being presented are intended to provide a tool for SKI personnel supervising nuclear power plants. Gained insights, on a international level, within the ICDE project concerning emergency diesel generators, motor operated valves, check valves, centrifugal pumps, batteries, level measure instrumentation, safety- and relief valves; breakers, control rod and drive assemblies and heat exchangers are presented in this report. The ICDE database and the collected amount of information provide a contribution and offer a complement to the collected Swedish data and statistics for dependent failures. Due to confidentiality regulations within ICDE, some information concerning international plants is left out in the presented material
