Atoms for plasma diagnostics

Aims and means of plasma corpuscular diagnostics in modern thermonuclear devices are presented in brief. The mechanism of the neutral atom formation in a plasma and methods of corpuscular diagnostics based on studying the neutral atoms are considered. Passive and active methods of corpuscular diagnostics are outlined briefly. It is noted that these methods proper have been applied to make a conclusion in favour of neoclassical theory of phenomena of particle- and heat transfer in a plasma
