Calibrator for level indicator of liquid waste in a storage tank
Description
Purpose: To enable safety calibration for diaphragm seal type detectors for the contained liquid for use with a power plant without accessing the administration area at high radioactive level. Constitution: An electromagnetic valve is disposed between a sludge storage tank and a seal pot containing radioactive contaminated liquid at the primary side and displacing liquid at the secondary side and it is adapted to be switched by a turn over switch provided in a low radioactive level area, and a pressure pipe way whose junction to a calibrator opens in the low radioactive level area is connected. By switching the electromagnetic valve in the high radioactive level area by way of the turn over switch and closing the tank side and opening the conduit side. After confirming the above opening and closure by a pilot lamp, a calibrator tool is connected to the calibrator to monitor and calibrate the detector while applying a pressure to the diaphragm in the seal pot.
