Geant4-based simulation of the inelastic and capture time distribution in neutron activation analysis

Description
The inelastic and capture time of 14 MeV neutron with a pulse width of 10 μs into H2O, Polyethylene, CaCO3, Fe2O3 were simulated using Geant4, a Monte Carlo simulation software. The inelastic and capture time distribution of 14 MeV neutron in these materials were analyzed, and the inelastic and capture time-gating windows were selected. The inelastic and capture γ spectra of 14 MeV neutron in Polyethylene were acquired using the inelastic and capture time-gating windows. (authors)
