Influence of microwave irradiation on high-frequency absorption by thin superconducting films (superconductivity stimulation)

Description
An investigation was made of the influence of microwave (9.4 GHz) irradiation on the temperature dependences of electromagnetic absorption at frequencies 10--1000 MHz in thin wide aluminum films. A considerable reduction in the absorption was observed near T/sub c/ and the onset of the absorption was shifted by an amount up to 10-2 K. The results were interpreted as enhancement of superconducting properties predicted by a theory of stimulation by a microwave field
