Description
The United Kingdom nuclear legacy programme in Russia in 2010 consists of the following projects at Andreeva Bay: • Installation of protective biological shielding over spent nuclear fuel storage (SNF) units • Construction of new Decontamination and Maintenance facility • Design of Enclosure around the SNF Storage Units for containment of fuel handling operations • Preparation for construction of the SNF Enclosure Another important project is spent nuclear fuel storage facility at Atomflot and provision of 50 storage casks for spent nuclear fuel at the site.
