SQUID detection of the optical polarization of nuclei in semiconductors
Description
In this letter we report the first detection of nuclear spin polarization (brought about by optical pumping of a silicon crystal) by means of a superconducting quantum magnetic-flux meter. A magnetic-resonance method: nuclear magnetic resonance: was used to identify the nature of the magnetism induced by the light
