Radioactive waste from nuclear power: approaching the Ringhals 3 decision

The Swedish government will decide if the nuclear power utilities, through the KBS-project, has fulfilled the so called stipulations law, stating, inter alia, that an absolutely safe way way of disposing of the radioactive waste must have been demonstrated before any new reactor can be brought into operation. In this report, ordered by the Minister of Energy, a concluding review is presented of the many reports and comments given to the KBS-project. Radiation doses from waste migrating from the repository are calculated under hypotheses differing from those of the KBS-project
