Point defect formation and thermal properties of nickel at high temperatures
Description
Temperature coefficient of linear expansion, heat capacity and temperature coefficient electric resistance have been measured for nickel in 900-1400 K temperature range. Results were analysed with provision for the formation of equilibrium point defects. Enthalpy of the defect formation H=1.4±0.2 eV has been determined
