Sensitivity of a Lagrangian puff climatological dispersion model to model parameters

  • 1. Pacific Northwest Labs., Richland, WA (United States)

Description

The Hanford Environmental Dose Reconstruction (HEDR) Project is estimating doses to individuals in a 19-county region of eastern Washington, northeastern Oregon and northern Idaho from radionuclides released by operations at Hanford. Primary interest in atmospheric releases is focused on more than 600,000 ci of 131I, released from December 26, 1944 through the end of December 1949. Monitoring data are insufficient to support dose calculations; therefore, the dose estimates will be based on atmospheric dispersion and deposition calculations covering a domain of approximately 200,000 km2 shown
