Description

Radioisotopes, nuclear fuel materials, and so on are used in various fields such as the research activities of universities and research institutes and in the treatment and diagnosis of medical institutes. It is necessary to treat and dispose of radioactive wastes safely and economically. Radioactive wastes disposal below the generally used depth require examination of a concrete disposal concept and thorough safety evaluation. This report presents development of a database for the radioactive applicable for disposal below the generally used depth, and preliminary safety and economy based on currently presumed general conditions. Subjects for the conceptual design of the disposal facility below the generally used depth are also presented. (author)
