Correlations of two α particles in the interaction /sup nat/Ag+40Ar(285 MeV)

Description
Angular and energy correlations of two α particles have been measured in one plane and in mutually perpendicular planes. Estimates have been made of the angular momentum of the heavy reaction product, which is the main source of α particles. There are indications of a mechanism of massive transfer of nucleons in reactions induced by 40Ar ions. In the region of backward angles in a single plane the reduction of the probability of α-particle coincidences when they are emitted on the same side of the beam is established
