Description
It has been observed that the values of β calculated from energy and transition rate are not closer. The reason for this gap in the values of β was assigned to employ the β - moment of inertia relation of hydrodynamic model. In the present work, a simple approach is proposed to evaluate β from E21+ using the semi-empirical relation of Grodzins which connects E21+ with B(E2; 21+ →01+)
