Synthetic magnesium aluminosilicates in radioactive waste management

Description
Three samples of synthetic 'saponite' clay minerals have been obtained using different SiO2/Al2O3 molecular ratios at atmospheric pressure and boiling water temperature. The results of ion exchange studies show that these products with high sorption capacity and better yield can be utilised in the treatment of low and intermediate levels of radioactive liquid wastes.
