Solar millimetric bright sources on the quiet sun

  • 1. Observatoire de l'Universite de Bordeaus (France)

Description

By comparing the observations with a simple model the following conclusions can be drawn: These sources can be described as circular structures, the radius of which increases or decreases with a maximum diameter of 3'. The expansion, or regression, velocities are in the same range: 10--20 km s-1. The mean brightness temperature T/sub b/ is about 3 x 104 K
