Comments on ternary fission: post-scission α-particle emission
Description
Synopsis The possibility of α-particle emission from fully accelerated fission fragments is considered. The results of trajectory calculations for such α-particles emitted during the fission of 252 Cf are presented, and their significance in relation to the observed energy and angular distributions of the α-particles is discussed.
