Peculiarities of crystallographic texture formation in zone melted Bi-2212 samples

Description

X-ray analyses have been utilized for studying the crystallographic texture of bismuth ceramic samples of the Bi1.8Pb0.2Sr2Ca1Cu2Ox composition produced by the method of gradient thermal treatment. Procedures of quantitative estimation of the degree of samples texturing and texture parameters are defined which make it possible to quantitatively describe the texture state of samples and which determine their transport properties. A mechanism of texture formation in test samples is discussed. Factors which favor the texture formation are revealed
