Description
The safety related decay heat removal of the SNR-2 is based on pure natural convection. To demonstrate its ability of function an experimental and theoretical program was started. The test section design is based on the similarity laws of the thermo- and fluid-dynamics and a transferability strategy for the Re-number was studied. Temperature and velocity fields are measured in water using scaled models of the SNR-2 for various operation conditions. One and multidimensional codes will be verified and improved. (author)
