New colliding wave solutions in the Einstein-Abelian gauge and Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theories

Description
The authors present the Abelian gauge version of the colliding electromagnetic waves of Bell and Szekeres. Orthogonally polarized collision of gauge fields with the initial data of sandwich waves is also given. Finally, they construct new metrics from the old ones in the colliding Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory
