Effect of LaNi5 on sorption characteristics of vanadium
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)
Description
Reaction with hydrogen in the V-LaNi5 mixture has been studied to reveal possibilities of vanadium, dihydrite synthesis under soft conditions and with a more satisfactory kinetics. Activation period at a room temperature was reduced up to several seconds upon mechanical addition of LaNi5 to vanacium. Desorption isotherm type does not permit to isolate a plateau corresponding to VH→VH2 and (LaNisub(5)Hsub(x))sub(α) → (LaNisub(5)Hsub(x))sub(β) transitions. Thermodynamic values values from tabulated data obtained on the base of an assumption that plateau on isotherms corresponds only to the VH+1/2H2 reversible VH2 reaction, differ from corresponding values for pure vanadium
