Description
The increasing importance of advanced and reliable in-service inspection of major reactor components has led to the development of a new tool for underwater inspections - MIDAS. This is a remotely operated vehicle carrying a TV camera and an eddy current probe, thus giving the inspector the freedom to easily maneuver into selected inspection areas. The combination of visual inspection with the possibility of EC evaluation of indications gives a high degree of confidence in the overall inspection results
