Experimental measurement of the detection efficiency for portable noble gas monitor sampling container
- 1. School of Nuclear Science and Technology, University of South China, Hengyang (China)
Description
The sampling container is an important part of the portable noble gas monitor. We took an experimental measurement to get the β particles detection efficiency of sampling container by using 137Cs point source. After data processing, we got the experimental result, and then used the MCNP software to take a simulation. The comparison and analysis of experimental and simulation results shows that the simulation and experimental results are consistent within error. It provided an important basis for simulating the detection efficiency of the detector for β spectroscopy of noble gas 85Kr and 133Xe by using MCNP. (authors)
