Search for the short-time optical brightness variability of BL Lac - type object MKN 501

Description
The photoelectric B, V photometry of the BL Lac type object Mkn 501 has been carried out for searching a short-time light variability. Power spectrum analysis has revealed two periodicities in light variations of Mkn 501, with periods P1 ∼ 30 min and P2 ∼ 83 min and amplitudes Δm ∼ 0m.02
