Oxidation of hydrazine with perchloric acid catalyzed by molybdenum
Creators
Description
The kinetics of the reaction between N2H4 and HClO4 in an acidic solution in the presence of molybdenum (6) has been investigated. The reaction produces nitrogen, NH4+ and Cl- ions. The orders of the reaction with respect to N2H4, HClO4, and MO are equal to 0, 1.0 and 0.5, respectively. The reaction mechanism is discussed. The data are presented on the stoichiometry and kinetics of the interaction between hydrazine and perchloric acid in the presence of ammonium molybdate
