Rotational structures in the odd-odd nucleus 80Y

Description
High spin states have been observed for the first time in the odd-odd nucleus 80Y, by using the 24Mg(58Ni,pn) reaction at 180 MeV. Eight rotational bands have been established, indicating a nucleus with appreciable deformation. (orig.)
