Development and use of chemical analysis methods

The state of modern analytical chemistry, mainly in USSR, is briefly characterized. Achievements in growth of sensitivity, accuracy, selectivity and expressiveness of analysis of substances, including elements of nuclear interest, are considered. Special directions of analysis - local, nondestructive, continuous, distant, are pointed. The state of main analysis methods - spectrophotometric, activation, chromatographic a.o., their possibilities and apparatus design are discussed. Peculiarities of analytical control in the most important branches of national economy, including chemical industry, medicine, agriculture, geology, as well as in solving problems on environment control, are marked
